Peer Review Policy
As an essential part of the publication process, peer review ensures that the papers published in Leather and Footwear Journal are of the highest quality. First of all, submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis); that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any; and that there is no conflict of interest among co-authors, if any.
Each manuscript submitted to our journal is subjected to thorough peer review by two qualified experts selected by the Editorial Board. The double-blind peer review process is based on an evaluation form which assesses the scientific and technical standard of the manuscripts. The manuscript will be accepted for publication provided reviews are favorable. In case of diversified opinions of the reviewers, the Editorial Board will make the final decision.
The authors will be notified as soon as possible on the result of manuscript evaluation (accepted for publishing, revisions requested, rejected).
